Illumination
Yellow has the ability to transform a painting with only a small presence. It naturally draws the eye, creating moments of focus while allowing the surrounding colours to breathe. Rather than using it simply for brightness, I use yellow to introduce balance, warmth, and openness into a composition.
As I paint, yellow often becomes the point where everything begins to connect. It reveals relationships between forms, textures, and colours, allowing the painting to move from uncertainty towards clarity without losing its sense of discovery.
